Initial Consultation 

The first appointment will be to view rooms, discuss ideas, colors and basically get a feel for your style. At this time you can view my extensive sample portfolio, feel the textures, hold them next to your furnishings, lean them against the walls and get an idea of your likes and dislikes. After a decision has been made on finish style and colors, I will measure walls and get back to you within two days with an estimate. If you have a person other than your spouse who will have a say in the final finish please have them at this appointment.

Pricing & Quotes

Decorative Finishes start at $20.00 a sq foot (for 1 pass finishes) up to $35.00 (many layers) with the average being approximately $25.00 a sq foot. Pricing is based accordingly on complexity of finish, time to execute, product costs, wall height, ceiling work, scaffolding, etc… It is not uncommon for Finishes to range from several hundred to several thousand dollars. If more than one sample is necessary they are priced at $25.00 each to cover studio time and product costs. Samples always remain property of Painted Accent. If you have a budget, let us know, we will work to find a finish that works for you. However, there is a $50.00 minimum. After approval of price and sample quotes, a 50% down payment will be required to schedule a start date and, if necessary, sample boards. The rest to be paid in full upon completion. 

Murals & Commissions

The process for Murals is very different. Before I arrive for the first consult, start saving pictures of what you like. You can find quite a few by putting your subject matter into an image search or in books. Do you want it cartoony and childlike? Do you want it more realistic? Is there a style of painting you prefer? It’s difficult to get inside
someone’s head, so I will be asking several questions. I might also send and show you different pictures and photographs before I begin. If you have browsed the site, you have a definite idea of my style and if it’s right for you. I can show you a very rough draft but keep in mind, I usually let the creative process take me where I know it looks best. Murals always turn out better when the artist has some creative freedom. Pricing for murals is dependent on size, detail, research involved, and difficulty. Once again if there is a budget, let us know and we can alter designs and ideas to make them work for you. Murals can take anywhere
from 3 days to 3 weeks. There is $6000 minimum on Mural work.

To commission an original Glamour Painting please contact us with an image of your room or your pantone cards. Sometimes the best way to help us know what you like is to show us previous work from our Glamour Painting Gallery on the website that you like! We will then discuss texture, color, and shoot you a quote. Glamour Paintings take about 2-3 weeks to complete and require 50% payment upfront to schedule.
